Dear Potential Business Sponsor

You are invited to be a part of our business sponsor program for 2018 and help build a better mountain bike community.  Central Wisconsin Off Road Cycling Coalition (CWOCC) continues to plan trail building and expansion as we pursue International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) Ride Center status. As a nonprofit organization, we couldn’t do it without the support of committed sponsors. No matter what level you choose, you are part of the ongoing development of destination trail riding in the upper Midwest.

We are looking forward to 2018 with great events like the Wausau 24 endurance race, WEMS (Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series), the RAGNAR Trail run and other CWOCC events and activities. Each year, thousands of riders travel to the Wausau area for these events.  Our trail building efforts continue this year with the Ringle Trails project scheduled to open by August of 2018.  Trail improvements and enhancements are also planned for the Big Eau Pleine and Underdown trail systems.

In summer of 2017 CWOCC partnered with Wausau United Ride, the local high school NICA team to lead the Youth Rider Program which proved to be a great success.  Over 30 kids ages 8-14 registered for the 8-week program held at Nine Mile County Forest.  Wausau United Ride coaches and parent leaders provided the weekly tutoring for basic riding skills, trail etiquette and group rides.   CWOCC and Wausau United Ride plan to continue the program with hopes of growth to over 50 riders.  2017 also marked a year focused on mentoring new and existing women riders with several new initiatives.  CWOCC brought nationally certified instructors from Grit Clinics to Wausau to assist in coaching the first area Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic which included over 40 beginner and intermediate women riders at Nine Mile County Forest.  In line with IMBA’s goals for 2018, after completion of the first Women’s Winter Weekend getaway, January of 2018, CWOCC will be hosting a full weekend event for women in summer of 2018.

CWOCC’s partnership with the City of Wausau and Marathon County Parks continues to strengthen with the opening of Sylvan Hill Mountain Bike in August of 2017, the first of its kind in Central Wisconsin.  Sylvan’s opening was met with high-praise from local riders as well as garnering recognition regionally and nationally from various mountain bike clubs and organizations.

We have a lot to look forward to in 2018 and beyond. Our continued growth and success is dependent on contributions from sponsors like you. We would appreciate having you on the team that’s making central Wisconsin a premier mountain biking destination.

Sincerely, CWOCC
