The Wausau Winter Triathlon is a sprint style triathlon that was planned to begin with Nordic Skiing (7k skate or classic), Fat Biking (10k) and finishing with a Snowshoe run (5k).

ATTENTION: Due to poor snow conditions, the Nordic Ski portion will be changed to a 2 Mile TRAIL RUN.  The bike and snowshoe run should remain unchanged, with only the possibility of the Snowshoe portion also converting to a trail run (updates to come the week of the race).

The Fat Bike and snowshoe portions are on rough-groomed singletrack trail all through beautiful Nine Mile County Forest. Helmets and 3.8″ tires are required on the bike.

*Event will NOT be cancelled, only modified as needed according to weather and trail conditions. Stay tuned for final updates the week of the race.

CAUTION: There is no winter biking allowed at this location any time other than the event.
